The Smart Dad’s Best Gift
Written by virayvibe on April 3, 2008 – 6:29 am - From my experience, car insurance can be a pain in the neck. After owning countless cars in all my years of driving, I have learned valuable lessons. I have also learned many tricks in keeping the costs down in maintaining and insuring my cars. Two months ago, I bought my daughter her much awaited first car. I needed to give her the car that she really wants. She’s my daughter and I have to please her. Still, that fact was not going to stop me from keeping the cost of having another car down. One cost is insurance. From www.carinsurancerates.com, took the list of the most expensive cars to be insured and the list of the least expensive ones. I then asked my daughter to list down the five car models she would like to have. What I did was a simple matching type, like the exams given to us by our teachers. I eliminated the cars in my daughter’s list that were in the most expensive and checked the two on the least expensive list. Ending up with only two in the list, I simply researched on both cars resale values and fuel efficiency. Car performance can be bettered without additional costs if you have a mechanic brother like me, so it was no longer a concern. The process of elimination and the matching type yielded the best graduation gift a father can give to his daughter.
